Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 2025

At zolentivaro, we're serious about protecting your personal information. This isn't just another legal document we've thrown together because we have to—it's our commitment to you about how we handle the data you trust us with when you use our financial fraud prevention services.

We operate under Australian privacy laws, specifically the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what information we collect, why we need it, and what we do with it. If anything here seems unclear, reach out to us. We'd rather answer your questions than leave you wondering.

Information We Collect

When you engage with our fraud prevention programs, we collect several types of information. Some you give us directly, and some we gather as you interact with our platform.

Personal Identification Data

We collect your name, email address, phone number, and postal address. If you're enrolling in our learning programs, we might also need educational background details and professional qualifications. This helps us tailor the content to your experience level.

Financial Information

For payment processing, we collect payment card details or bank account information. We don't store complete card numbers on our servers—that's handled by our payment processors who maintain PCI DSS compliance. We keep transaction records and payment histories for accounting purposes.

Technical and Usage Data

Like most websites, we collect IP addresses, browser types, device information, and cookies. We track how you navigate our platform—which pages you visit, how long you stay, and what content interests you most. This isn't about surveillance. It helps us improve the user experience and spot technical issues before they become problems.

How We Use Your Information

We're not in the business of collecting data for the sake of it. Everything we gather serves a specific purpose in delivering our fraud prevention education and services.

Service Delivery: We use your information to provide the learning programs you've enrolled in, process your payments, and send you course materials and updates about your progress.

Communication: We'll contact you about program updates, new content releases, and important changes to our services. You can opt out of marketing communications anytime, but we'll still need to send essential service-related messages.

Platform Improvement: We analyze usage patterns to understand what works and what doesn't. This helps us refine our content and make the platform more intuitive.

Security and Fraud Prevention: We monitor for suspicious activity and potential security breaches. Given that we're teaching fraud prevention, it would be pretty ironic if we didn't protect our own platform properly.

Legal Compliance: Sometimes we're required by law to collect and retain certain information. We keep records for tax purposes, respond to legal requests, and maintain documentation as required by Australian regulations.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We're not selling your data to advertisers or sharing it with random third parties. But we do work with certain partners to deliver our services, and they may have access to your information under strict conditions.

Service Providers: We use third-party services for payment processing, email delivery, cloud hosting, and analytics. These providers only access the data they need to perform their specific functions, and they're contractually obligated to protect it.

Legal Requirements: If we receive a valid legal request from law enforcement or regulatory bodies, we may be required to disclose your information. We'll notify you when possible, unless prohibited by law.

Business Transfers: If zolentivaro is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'd ensure any new owner continues to honor this privacy policy.

We don't share your personal information with other students or publicly display it without your explicit consent. Your progress, enrollment status, and contact details remain confidential.

Your Privacy Rights Under Australian Law

The Australian Privacy Principles give you specific rights over your personal information. Here's what you can do and how to exercise these rights:

Access your personal information and request a copy of what we hold about you
Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information
Ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances
Withdraw consent for marketing communications
Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner
Request details about any disclosure of your information to third parties

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@zolentivaro.com with your request. We'll respond within 30 days. If we need more time due to the complexity of your request, we'll let you know.

Data Security Measures

Security isn't just a checkbox for us—it's central to everything we do. We've implemented multiple layers of protection to safeguard your information.

Security Layer Implementation
Encryption TLS 1.3 for data in transit, AES-256 for data at rest
Access Control Role-based permissions, multi-factor authentication for staff
Network Security Firewalls, intrusion detection systems, regular vulnerability scanning
Data Backup Automated daily backups with 30-day retention, stored in separate locations
Monitoring 24/7 security monitoring and incident response protocols

Despite our best efforts, no system is completely impenetrable. If we experience a data breach that affects your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours and inform the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Data Retention and Deletion

We don't keep your information forever. Our retention periods vary depending on the type of data and our legal obligations.

Active Account Data

While your account is active, we maintain your profile information, course progress, and transaction history. This allows you to pick up where you left off and access your learning materials anytime.

Inactive Accounts

If you haven't logged in for 24 months, we'll send you a reminder email. After 36 months of inactivity, we'll archive your account and delete non-essential personal information. We retain transaction records for seven years to comply with Australian tax laws.

Account Deletion Requests

You can request account deletion anytime. We'll process this within 30 days, removing your personal information from active systems. Some data may remain in backup systems for up to 90 days before complete deletion. Financial records are retained for seven years regardless of deletion requests—that's a legal requirement, not a choice.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our platform work properly and to understand how people use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them might affect functionality.

Essential Cookies: Required for login, security, and basic platform functionality
Performance Cookies: Help us understand usage patterns and identify technical issues
Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences and settings
Analytics Cookies: Provide insights into how content performs and where improvements are needed

We don't use advertising cookies or sell tracking data to third parties. Our analytics are focused solely on improving our educational services.

International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily stored on servers located in Australia. However, some of our service providers operate internationally, which means your information might be processed in other countries.

When we transfer data overseas, we ensure adequate protections are in place. This includes contractual agreements that require international partners to maintain privacy standards equivalent to Australian requirements. We work with providers in jurisdictions recognized for strong data protection laws, including the European Union and Singapore.

Children's Privacy

Our services are designed for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we discover that we've inadvertently collected data from someone under 18, we'll delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe we've collected their child's information should contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

Privacy laws evolve, and so do our practices. We review and update this policy regularly to reflect changes in legislation, technology, and our services. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email and prominently display the updates on our platform.

The date at the top of this document shows when it was last revised. By continuing to use our services after changes take effect, you accept the updated policy. If you disagree with changes, you can close your account—though we'd prefer to discuss your concerns first.
